Santo Domingo, DR.– The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) announced the launch of the Traveler Information Center, the virtual platform that allows direct interaction with the tourist who plans to visit the country soon and clarify any doubts related to the new dynamics and provisions implemented as a result of the contingency caused by COVID-19.
This new tool has an interactive mechanism that responds to the most frequent asked questions by those planning to visit the country. It also counts with a selection of updated news with relevant information on tourism and a live chat with assistance that resolves concerns in real time.
“Our priority is the health and safety of our visitors, and for this reason we have created this mechanism to approach the traveler to give them the peace of mind they need to confirm their travel plans,” said Magaly Toribio, Marketing Advisor of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic Dominican.
“We understand that at a time when there is an information overload caused by the pandemic, travelers are looking for a reliable source of information. That is why we have developed this resource for our future visitors, which contains official information, expert sources and the possibility of asking questions and obtaining answers in a more agile way”.
The Dominican Republic reactivated its tourism operation on July 1st with the application of preventive measures to protect the health of locals and visitors. These measures or protocols may be consulted at the Traveler Information Center, or Dominican Republic Travel Resource Center, in English.
