After embarking at the beautiful port of La Romana, port that is located in the waters of Salado river, we will sail around 30 minutes to the south-west direction to the first reef to Catalina Island, the famous area known as Muro, a vertical wall that goes down in two stages up to a depth of more than 85 meters, ideal for diving practice. Snorkeling is practiced in a not very deep area of this coral reef, a place that in not more than 2 meters, we could already see full many corals of different kinds and numerous fish of tropical colors. There are that many fish, that at times, we will be surrounded by them. Once we finish snorkeling, we will head to the most beautiful beach at Catalina Island where we will be able to enjoy impressive crystal clear waters and if we want to, we could carry on snorkeling at a coral reef located not so deeply only 50 meters away from the shore of this beach.
