Overview
Summitour propose a minimum of two immersions in the beautiful reefs of Bayahibe, you will have the opportunity of diving into the crystal clear waters of Este Natural Park, big reefs, sunken boats, remains of a galleon of the VXI century, sandbanks. Those will be some of the amazing dives.
Bayahibe is a small fisherman’s village which owes its natural wealth to mainly the impressive attraction of its seabeds where we can find numerous colourful fish, large shoals of surgeon-fish, barracudas, lion fish, moray eels, manta rays and turtles. Those are some of the species you could find on the sea bed. This area was famous for having in its waters a large quantity of Antillean manatee, now in serious danger of extinction but that we are still lucky to be able to see.
In its seabeds, we will have the opportunity, as long as out certification allows us to descend to the impressive Saint George, a freighter of nearly 100mt of length that rest at 20mts of depth and up to 45mts. In its inside, we could observe a large quantity of wildlife like the lion fish being one of the most attractive species for divers, large shoals of horse mackerel, sardines, barracudas, peces murcielago and some reef shark will make this dive simply impressive.
For all those that wish to dive into a sunken ship without having to go deep, we have the option of diving into the Atlantis Princess, a small freighter of around 60mts that rests on a reef at 14mt of depth. This ship can be visited nearly in its fullest, even the 3 cellar that with time they have turned into a home for all kind of fish between all the iron cluttered and with a bit of luck we could find the large spider crabs in this amazing place.
