After boarding the beautiful port of La Romana, port located on the waters of the picturesque Rio Salao we sail around about 30 minutes south-west to the first reef Catalina Island, the famous area known as The Wall, one vertical wall that descends in two stages to a depth of more than 85 ideal for scuba diving meters.
The first dive is performed starting a gentle descent to a depth of about 3 meters over a full life reef, we continue our immersion reaching gradually deeper until at 9 meters we find the famous Wall, divers who have both certification and experience are allowed to dive deeper. The walls of the wall are lined with large corals and huge Gorgonian, during our dive we will see many species of tropical fish.
The second dive will be done in an area known as the aquarium, the name comes from the large variety of fish that we see during the dive. We begin our dive by throwing ourselves from the comfortable deck of the boat and descend to a depth of between 10 and 14 meters in the reef, this dive is always at the same depth converting well on a simple dive suitable for all levels on large banks of sand of this dive we can find the huge striped blankets rested semi buried, lion fish, trumpets, surgeons, butterflies, balloons, brown, ect, are just some of the inhabitants of this area of Catalina Island.
